The Customer is the provider of an all-in-one solution for managing the daily basis tasks of the team.

Challenge

The Client possesses a web-based and mobile application platform for workforce management that allows users to plan and register their activities. The system requires web and mobile syncing so that user are able to follow up and submit tasks from anywhere like mobile or desktop machine. The system has complex business logic, consists of various modules, and supports different users’ roles. Users can interact with the system through a web portal or mobile application. The system supports multiple monthly & annual plan to users for subscriptions and a better experience. The client needs a better experience for the user by providing task reminder notifications, complete task sections & also assigning tasks and verifying task options to manage daily basis tasks with a smooth process.

Every day in India more than 15 to 25,000 users use the system. As the number of users continuously increases, system behaviour and architecture become more complex, it is crucial to guarantee stable and correct system work. Therefore, the Customer chose Aegis testing team to improve the whole system (both web and mobile apps) quality. The testing process should be performed in parallel with new functionality development.

Solution

The dedicated team decided to execute feature, functional, and regression testing of the mobile and web app. Feature testing was performed for every build with new functionality. After the test completion, the team continued with the execution of functional testing, at the end of which the Client received bug reports. After the reported bugs were fixed, the regression testing phase started. To check if users of all popular browsers can easily use the system without any mistakes, cross-browser testing of the web app was performed. testers took part in planning and estimating the development process, fulfilled in Agile (Scrum) methodology. The testing team tests the web portal & application end-to-end to match client requirements. For mobile and desktop machine syncing team has used the web socket tool to update user data in both.

Results

The team helped the Customer achieve high-quality standards of the system (both web and mobile apps) that contributed to the user base growth. We have managed to release new application builds with new features and solutions every week or by-weekly in production.
