Vijay Electronics is an independent distribution that stock and source a diverse range of board level Electronics goods. Vijay electronics is a small level business firm dealing in wide range of Electronics components. They have experience of more than 40 years in electronics field which are mainly trading the goods to retailers as they are Distributors of various Electronics brands.
Situation
Vijay Electronics came to us initially because they needed the security foundation of MS Dynamics CRM to segregate each salesperson’s or buyer’s accounts and contacts. Their ERP system couldn’t do that, but MS Dynamics CRM could. Quotes and Orders are created in MS Dynamics CRM and passed to their ERP. Purchase orders are automatically triggered in their ERP as Sales Orders are received from CRM.

Solutions
Security Roles are set up so salespeople can only see accounts or contacts assigned to them.
“Availabilities” is a database of parts available to the various salespeople (by security assignment). Hundreds of thousands of parts are imported into CRM for this database.
Orders are created against Availabilities. Report below shows all current and history for any particular part number.
This validates buyers’ commissions by comparing purchases with sales.
Drill-through on Product line item in an order. MS CRM allows unlimited custom fields added to any entity.
Orders in CRM are transferred to ERP upon approvals by QA and Credit.
Parts Catalog in CRM – refreshed from ERP every 5 minutes.
Parts on Orders need to pass inspection.
Vendors and Customers are synchronized between MS Dynamics CRM and MS Dynamics GP.
